IPL Session 4: Noticeable Improvement

image

So, here’s a quick update on my IPL sessions to help reduce the color in my facial sun spots.  I’m approximately 4-5 days post session number 4.  Even though we cranked that bad boy up I’m still not seeing the same results I had on session number 3.  Nothing appears to have gotten any darker in preparation to slough off so perhaps it’s time for a break.

I’ve decided to finish my remaining 2 sessions over the winter (or at least the fall).  Until then, I’m going back to the natural way of doing things.  Hopefully with less color in the spots the Frankincense Essential Oil will be able to reduce them even more.

Overall, I am happy with the outcome.  I can now cover those disgraceful spots with minimal makeup and without makeup they no longer paint a bull’s-eye on the side of my face (see photo).  Perhaps the bull’s-eye comment is bit of an exaggeration but to me, that’s what it felt like.

In any case, I think IPL was a good decision for me.  It’s definitely not something to be afraid of as long as you educate yourself on what you should expect.  To err on the side of caution is always a good thing but don’t expect miracles, only improvement.
