It was a little dicey there for a while. It seemed soreness was my constant companion and the only thing I could stand to eat was the consistency of baby food. The constant rubbing of gauze and a stitch coming loose put me over the top…not to mention the odorous flavor of a single piece of gauze being in my mouth for a full two weeks.
It has been a long road to recovery, one I hope never to repeat. So far I have no more build up of saliva with my new duct opening. As long as it doesn’t continue to heal over completely I should be golden. It certainly beats having more involved surgery with greater risk.
Thank you everyone for putting up with this blog topic. Although it’s not the most attractive topic, I do hope it can help someone out there with the same or similar issue.
